Win a basket of baby bathtime goodies from Johnsons

We all know how vital a good bath/bedtime routine is for our little terror merchants angels. By the time bathtime comes around my boys practically need hosing down they’ve collated so much filth – especially Arlo who still favours rubbing his dinner into his blonde locks (quite alarming if he’s been eating anything tomato based).

I’m not sure bathtime has ever quite been as calm and peaceful as this serene little video, but I’m assured there are some babies out there who are like this:

I’ve always been a big fan of their products, so I’m delighted to be teaming up with the folks at Johnsons to run a little giveaway of a gorgeous basket of some of their lovely goodies.

The basket contains:

  • Johnsons Baby Shampoo 300ml
  • Johnsons Baby Top-to-toe bath 500ml
  • Johnsons Baby Moisturising Cream 100ml
  • Johnsons Baby Oil Gel 200ml
  • Johnsons Baby Powder

HOW TO WIN THE BASKET!

Our baby’s bedtime routine is bath with lots of toys, games and splashes, then breastfeeding and sleep. She is very tired by then, so we do not read books, we do it during the day.

  42. kelly mitchell says:

what routine lol xx its bed time when they both conk out xx

  43. with son number 1 it has always been really important to stick to a routine of bath, changed, story time & bed. It has worked well for the past 3 years to planning to do this with son number 2 when he hopefully make his appearence in the next few weeks :O)

  44. Catherine Ball says:

My two little girls – one aged two and the other just 19 days – share a bath. The toddler goes in first so she gets a chance to splash about and play and once her hair has been washed, the baby goes in too and my older girl helps wash her. Afterwards it’s cuddles and milk all round and then a bedtime story before sleep

  45. Miss Natalie Wallace says:

I like to bath my little one at about 6pm. Give him a little bit time to play in the bath which helps make bath time much easier. Then get him ready and put him to bed by about 7pm.

  46. Rachel Fenney says:

Both my children, boy aged 3, girl 11 months have a bath everynight. It’s not just about getting them clean for bed, but they love bathtime so much, they play seperately and together, i get two jobs done in one, i wash them and i use the time to play games with them as well. I almost don’t want to get them when it’s time x

  49. Tracy Butler says:

Our bedtime routine starts with tea and then 1/2 hour of cbeebies, they both then have a bath where they splash and get me, mummy as wet as possible. We have frequent snow showers (blowing bubble bath bubbles everywhere). We then have a snuggle and read a book before settling down for the night.

10 minutes watching the TELETUBBIES lying flat out in front of the TV while bath is ran, grow bag + sleep suit lain out on bed, bottle prepared (and hidden from view)
10 minutes having a “Splish Splash” bath ~ More water out of bath than in it normally!!
Then its “wrap da babba up” in the towel and dry off
Nappy, sleep suit and Grow Bag on
Bottle reappears ~ 10 mins and contents consumed and baby practically asleep, straight into cot and …………….
PEACE ~ till hopefully at least 530am if we are LUCKY!!

  51. Baby goes to sleep at 7pm, after being bathed by Daddy and fed by Mummy. Falls asleep to the sound of his Winnie the Pooh cot mobile. Usually wakes up at about 3am for a nappy change and a feed.

  54. Caroline French says:

I have a 2.5yr old and a12mth old. Both used to have upstairs at 6.30pm, bath followed by baby massage with calming music followed by story then breast milk then bed. Having two makes things trickier and longer but now they are both on cows milk the routine is pretty much the same (often minus the massage as they don’t like it anymore-substituted for more stories!). sometimes they both have a bath together and we do one child each and sometimes my husband does the bed routine one after the other…as he is fab!! even after a long day in the army but we both feel bathtime is good quality time with them and they are great at settling as always lights out by 7.30. we often take it in turns with each child and it means they are happy for either of us to put them to bed and don’t play up x

    Story then sleep

  64. My baby’s bedtime routine starts at 6pm when I put cbeebies bedtime hour on. Then at 7pm I’ll either bath him or top and tail him before changing him into his bedtime clothes. I’ll put him into his sleeping bag, read him a story and then feed him before placing him within his Moses basket. This seems to work quite well – last night he went straight to sleep without needing a soother! 🙂

  88. Hayley Todd says:

My little one’s bedtime routine involves a lovely warm bubbly bath with lavender scented baby bubble bath, followed by babygro, lots of cuddles and then ‘fingers crossed’ the last bottle of the night.

  89. piper and daisy says:

Daisy loves her bath. It’s not particularly relaxing though as she loves it so much that she squeals when we take her out of it. I’m surprised the neighbours don’t ring the police because you would think we were murdering her by the noise she makes!
She’s not really into toys in the bath at the moment, just likes to splash!
So our routine is; a lovely splashy bath, followed by lots of screams, followed by eventual calm, followed by Mummy changing out of soggy clothes 🙂 @piperanddaisy

  94. weve done a bew routine right from the start and from 8 week old hes slept through 7 til 7 hes now 11month and still does the same

at 6oclock its the wind down hour, we get his bottle prepared and whilst it cools my partner gets his sleepbag and sleep wear ready, he gives him a quick wash , brushes his teeth ,changes nappy then gets him dressed and in sleep bag, by that time his bottle is ready, he has his bottle about half 6ish, sometimes he falls asleep during, or sometimes hes still awake we put him to bed and he soon settles him seflf to sleep.

  95. deborah says:

  96. Hayley Ball says:

My baby girl is 14 weeks. She has slept though since 3 weeks… We dont have a rigid routine, but we always have her in bed for 7:45. Prior to that she has a feed, a bath in Johnsons bedtime bath and then a cuddle! Seems to work for us! :o)

  97. Adrian Clarke says:
